Scoblelizer's wife reads your blog!!!!! You're like two degrees from famous! Which makes me like three degrees from famous! Woo hoo!

Except I shook Rosalyn Carter's hand once in nineteen-seventy-something. I haven't washed it since.

Oh, and happy first week of summer. Temps in the 90s here in the SF Bay Area, along with accompanying ozone alerts and electrical brownouts.

Happy Summer to all of you!
Reva - the pansies came in the container you see them in and the daisies were bought at the store...it's been raining here so much I just planted some flowers last weekend - I'm way behind!

Fritz - you crack me up. Yes, Maryam does swing by here sometimes. She is a wonderful, intelligent, warm woman and I'm flattered she stops by. If you haven't read her blog, it's a must.
You haven't washed your hand since the Carter era...I'm thinking it's a nice shade of green now...green is nice...
Weather is hot, steamy and pelting rain here in New England. Ah...summer storms.
Happy Friday y'all

My dad was in this secret spook group that (among other things) is tasked with protection of American VIPs overseas. Like the Secret Service, except in foreign countries. Besides Rosalyn, I also met then-Secretary of Defense Harold Brown and his wife, a few other Presidential cabinet members, and a handful of congress-critters and their families. And my dad was issued these really really cool secret-agent guns -- little sawed-off submachine guns and miniature shotguns that could be concealed under a sport jacket, along with other nifty James Bond toys.

In high school I briefly dated this absolutely gorgeous Congressional intern and went to church where Joe Gibbs was a Sunday School teacher.

Fritz, you have truly had some interesting experiences! And, of course I know who Joe Gibbs is - he's the car owner of the defending NASCAR Champion, Tony Stewart. He also owns JJ Yeley's car. Oh, and he has a little bit to do with some small football team, I think. ;)
